Motion Designer
A successful motion piece is about more than just animation. Our motion designers are involved from blank canvas to the last export. Creating concepts and storyboards is an essential part of the job, as well as being able to verbally communicate your ideas without ego and with an eye on collaboration.
Naturally, you’ll need strong chops in After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, and Photoshop, but we’re looking for someone who also has a 3D twist – preferably Cinema4D. You’ll be working for a wide range of clients, creating a wide range of animated deliverables – so you’ll also need to have a curious mind for both design and the technology and products that power our clients, big and small.
We have a fantastic team to brainstorm with, but self-motivation is also key. Taking the initiative is core to our culture. We want to challenge you and, in turn, be challenged to create better and smarter videos.
- Must demonstrate an understanding of storytelling and design process as well as ability to translate information and conceptual ideas into static frames and motion
- Have recognized expertise in After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop, and C4D
- 3D skills must show an understanding of composition, lighting, texture, depth of field, and motion
- Have a portfolio with videos between 60 and 90 seconds long that show an ability to visually tell a good story and hold the attention of the viewer
- Must be capable of balancing a project’s creative and visual requirements along with schedules and budgets while working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Exercise good judgment and decision-making skills in solving problems and knowing when to raise concerns with the broader team
- Communicate clearly to internal and client teams – both verbally and written
