Event Assets for DTW 2019

A new year brings a new Dell Technologies World. From the opening video set to the sounds of Queen and Mark Martel to the presentations delivered by Dell Technologies executives and special guests, the CGI Interactive team pulled out all of the stops to create event assets for this year’s Dell Technologies Global Partner Summit. With over 5,000 partners in attendance, our team worked hand-in-hand with the crew at InVision to ensure an outstanding experience.

Task

Create a bold brand style that embodies the theme of Defying Gravity while interpreting the look across event assets, including an opening video, presentations, and interstitial moments.

Event Branding

A Global Partner Summit

This year, the General Session took us on a journey to explore what it means to defy gravity and push ahead of the competition. The CGI team started the event assets by creating a brand guide that we used to design presentations for five presenters and five videos interspersed throughout two hours.

A performance to remember

Included in the event assets was the show opener, an animated backdrop synced to the live performance of Mark Martel, who played piano and sang Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now.” This rolled right into the stomping and clapping of “We Will Rock You” as we introduced Joyce Mullen to kick off the event.

Keynotes & breakouts

Beyond the General Session, we also created presentations for three super sessions that re-used a portion of the stage setup. Adding to the event assets, we designed eight presentations for breakouts using the template and guidelines we created for the various teams.

CGI Interactive had a team of six on-site to support the GPS group and to work out any last-minute changes to make this the best GPS yet. It was a team effort between CGI Interactive and Dell Technologies. We couldn’t be happier with the results.

Event branding

The inspiration was endless with the event’s Defying Gravity theme. We took that inspiration and used it to create a full event brand guide to establish a solid look and feel.

Presentation design

We brought our work to a seriously big screen – 100-feet – and created visuals for a series of executive keynotes, regional super sessions, and a collection of breakout sessions.
